Tuition Assistance

There are two programs available to eligible Service members to fund off-duty education: Tuition Assistance (TA) and Navy College Program for Afloat College Education (NCPACE). Both programs pay up to 100% (within fiscal year/career caps and limits) of tuition charged by educational institutions for course enrollments. While all eligible Sailors can participate in the TA program, the objective of NCPACE is to provide personnel assigned to sea duty type 2 and 4 Unit Identification Codes (UICs) with educational opportunities comparable to those available to shore duty personnel.

Navy Cool

Navy COOL helps Navy Service members find information on certifications and licenses related to their jobs, including detailed information on: Credentials related to Navy ratings, designators and collateral-duty/out of rate assignments. Once you have confirmed the ability to test for a certain certification, you can submit your voucher request for processing and funding.

Commissioning Programs

Commissioning Programs offer a chance for qualified enlisted Sailors to complete college and earn a commission as a Naval officer. • Naval Academy • NROTC • LDO/CWO • Seaman to Admiral 21 • Medical Enlisted Commissioning Program (MECP) • Medical Service Corps In-Service Procurement Program (MSC-IPP)
